My logo mark design process always begins in black and white. After my initial rough sketches I take the best of my ideas and rapidly iterate each of them. Once a particularly solid idea has developed, I keep it aside and make a better one. Keeping the mark black and white also ensures the logo will look great & function in any format or background.
